\n\nAs a Students'\; Uni
on\, we want \;to continue to ensure our \;services evolve to mee
t the needs of our student members. As a charity\, we have objects that d
efine what we are aiming to do\, work on or achieve for our members\, and
all activity we undertake must link to these. \;
\n
\nAs a
n organisation\, we have recently taken over delivery of the Sports Centr
e and other associated sporting facilities\, based in Coventry. As such\,
Your SU is proposing a change to our objectives listed in our Aricles of
Association\, (a \;legal document that defines an organisation'\;
s \;regulations\, \;structure\, and \;responsibilities)\, to
incorporate these new responsibilities.
As we are an organisati on led by\, and for\, students\, it is important that we also consult wit h our members on this change. All students are invited to attend this mee ting\, taking place online via Microsoft Teams\, to discuss these changes and to ultimately vote to decide whether you \;believe these changes are in the best interests of our students.

\n\nS ection 2 around Objects currently states:
\n\n'\;The obj ects of the Union are the advancement of education of Students at Coventr y University Group for the public benefit by:
\n\n2.1 pro moting the interests and welfare of Students at Coventry University Group during their course of study and representing\, supporting and advising Students\;
\n\n2.2 being the recognised representative ch annel between Students and Coventry University Group and any other extern al bodies\; and
\n\n2.3 providing social\, cultural\, spo
rting and recreational activities and forums for discussions and debate f
or the personal development of its Students'\;

The proposed changes to Section 2 around Objects would mean a c hange in articles to:
