Can You See Me Now is an arts activism project challenging perceptions of invisible disability.

Less than 8% of people with disabilities in the UK require the use of a wheelchair

Accessible signage has used the wheelchair icon for more than 50 years, but for disabled people who do not use a wheelchair, this symbol can create challenges.

Can You See Me Now is a campaign to increase understanding of invisible disabilities and create an open call for a new student designed accessible icon.

The Competition

We asked students to design a new accessible icon that better represents the reality of people with disabilities, visible and invisible.

Invisible Disabilities

Increase your understanding of Invisible Disabilities, the assumptions you might be making, and what you can do to tackle discrimination.
