Lindsay Robb

Occupational Therapy, 3rd Year

I have chosen the addition/ plus symbol as it indicates that someone might need something 'additional' such as a quiet space, extra equipment or some extra time. I feel that the symbol itself is positive and would hope that it would feel empowering for the person. I have chosen the colour purple as it is a blend of red- the colour used in signage as a warning and blue which can be used as a guide sign.

Panel's comments

The panel loved the idea of a single, simple, recognisable symbol to denote accessible facilities

In the end, we felt that the design might need a little more to make it clear what it denoted but we loved the positive sentiment behind it.
