About The Competition Invisible Disabilities Training
Stick figure icons of a wheelchair user and standing figure holding a col-lg campaign awareness ribbon between them

Javeria Ahmad Shah

Computer Science, 2nd Year

The image brings together the idea of visible and invisible disabilities, since the wheelchair has become a symbol for disabled people, adding what looks like an abled bodied person whilst they both hold the black and white ribbon (as there are many illnesses so many coloured ribbons), symbolises both invisible and visible disabilities, and it’ll also draw people’s attention and remind them not to judge.

Panel's comments

A great, simple design that combines existing symbols people recognise.

There were a few designs that took a similar route to this and ultimately the panel felt other entries were able to capture it slightly better but still a great entry and capturing the right message.
