Poet Society

Poet Society is an open creative community at Coventry University, officially affiliated with Coventry University Students' Union. We bring together students who love poetry, shayri, classical music, spoken word, and literary expression — creating a space where words come alive.

We host open mic nights, shayri performances, poetry writing sessions, and themed cultural evenings throughout the academic year. Our events are free or low cost, open to all students, and welcoming of performances in any language — Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Arabic, English, and beyond.

Whether you want to step onto the mic and perform, sit back and listen, or simply be part of a creative community that gets it — you belong here. No experience needed. No barriers. Just words, music, and expression.
