Japanese Society

Our Aim:

• The overall aim of the society is to create a welcoming space for all students where they'll be able to make friends and have fun.

Our objectives: 

• Encourage learning about Japanese culture, language, and history.

• Provide a friendly and inclusive space for students of all backgrounds.

• Represent students of Japanese heritage.

• Support students with any social or academic issues.

• Help members make friends based around our common interest.

• Set up engaging and varied events in line with the Japanese Society's theme.

Our activities:

• Japanese movie nights  

• Origami and board games

• Culture familiarisation and fun facts

• Language immersion sessions

• Japanese food workshops 

• Society collaborations

• Japanese restaurant tours

Whilst this society was founded by Japanese students and will continue to support them throughout their time at the university, we aim to create a safe and welcoming space for everyone, regardless of identity!
