These roles look awesome on your CV, and interviewers love hearing about extracurriculars during your university experience ;)

There are three positions open:

President

The Jack of All Trades. The mesmerising leader. The visionary. President is a hefty but highly rewarding job: enthusiastically inviting new members, drafting communications, event planning/management and finance supervisory… You’d have a say in all departments. But that’s just the administrative side of things – as president, you direct the creative vision of Art Soc. Ensuring member’s suggestions are heard and valued, you will guarantee that Art Soc is a gratifying place where people are able to stretch their creative minds. If you have what it takes to be a strategic captain, then President is what you should nominate as!

Treasurer

Money management! It’s crucial that we get the money side of things correct, otherwise, we’d have no white paint to create our beautiful art! As a treasurer, you’re organised, analytical and prompt. Being tech-savvy is a bonus, but on the role, you’ll be able to learn great skills in Excel. You will ensure we have the correct supplies when needed. You will also brainstorm fundraising opportunities to ensure the bank account is never empty. Are you a bit of a finance guru, or just have an interest? Then this role is for you – nominate yourself!

Inclusion Officer

Are you that person who’s always got a smile on their face as they greet new people in? Do you thrive in diverse environments? Being an inclusion officer in our wonderfully diverse Coventry University is highly valuable – you will ensure everyone has a sense of belonging in Art Soc, and this will come in different ways for all. Some people want to test their creative skills quietly, others want to chit-chat about how culture influences art – whatever they need, you will ensure everyone is welcomed and loved. During event planning, you will check needs of all types of people are adequately met, considering things such as food options or transport and mobility. Nominate for inclusion officer if you have a biiig heart for any and all!

What to do for the nomination:

1. Create a plan of action, what would you like to implement?

This will be your “manifesto” for other members to vote their favourite candidate for each role

2. Nominate yourself for the role you want!

What are you waiting for? Nominations close 9am, 2nd March 2026.
