About the event
Coventry-based students: start your new academic year the right way by checking out your Wellbeing Fair! It's an informal event that gives you the chance to chill and chat with a host of organisations who are here to help make sure that your health and wellbeing is the best it can be during your time at University. Whether you are new and feeling a little lost, returning and need a reminder, or are just curious about the different people and places who are here for you…drop by the ground floor of The Hub anytime between 11am-3pm to find information, support and lots of friendly faces. Stalls that will be in attendance include:
Your SU Advice Service: free, independent advice and wellbeing support.
Your SU Skills: find out more about Your SU Skills and employability services including development opportunities with Pheonix plus and bitesize BSL taster sessions.
Your SU Activities: discover what societies and community groups you can become a part of to increase a feeling of belonging.
University Health and Wellbeing Harassment/Incident Support: supporting staff and students who have experienced or witnessed any kind of harassment and/or hate.
Student Success Coaches: connect to help identify and achieve your goals.
University Medical Centre: GP and medical support right on campus.
SIGMA: support with anything maths and statistics.
University Library: from academic and research services to fun social events.
Customer Services: 365 day a year support for students from enrolment to completion.
Sustainability and Grounds Teams: learn about your university’s NetZero 2030 goals plus games, quizzes and prizes to win.
WMP ROCU (West Midlands Police Regional Organized Crime Unit): helping protect you against fraud and organised crime.
Panaghar: support, advocacy, safe refuge and empowerment to victims of domestic, sexual and gender based abuse.
Sexual Health Services: free and confidential advice, education, contraception and STI testing.
CGL (Change, Grow, Live): free, confidential tailored support for those experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol.
Kooth: free safe and anonymous online mental health support.
The Human Collective: a holistic directory and collective for wellness and wellbeing, currently based at Fargo Village.
Meningitis Now: a charity which raises awareness of the dangers of meningitis and to provide support to individuals and their families who have been affected by meningitis.
Talking Therapies: free mental health service helping with general and exam stress, anxiety, sleep problems, symptoms of PTSD and other symptoms of anxiety and low mood.
