Calling all Coventry-based students! Start your new academic year the right way by checking out your Wellbeing Fair! It's an informal event that gives you the chance to chill and chat with a host of organisations who are here to help make sure that your health and wellbeing is the best it can be during your time at University. Whether you are new and feeling a little lost, returning and need a reminder, or are just curious about the different people and places who are here for you…drop by the ground floor of The Hub anytime between 11am-3pm to find information, support and lots of friendly faces. Stalls that will be in attendance include:
Your SU Societies, Activities & Communities: Learn all about the societies you can join at Your SU, as well as all about the activities team and how you can involve yourselves with them and our student communities, too!
Centre for Academic Writing (CAW): The Centre for Academic Writing (CAW) is an innovative teaching and research centre whose mission is to enable students at Coventry University to become independent writers, and to equip academic staff in all disciplines to achieve their full potential as authors and teachers of scholarly writing.
Student Success Coaches: Success Coaches are here to guide you every step of the way, from enrolment to graduation. Speak to a Success Coach about your goals, build skills for life, and to help you unlock your full potential.
Customer Services: Suppoting students from the moment they enroll through to graduation and beyond.
The Lanchester Library: The library provides study spaces, facilities and resources for students to aid with their studies. The Academic Liaison Librarian team also provide support with information literacy and navigating the library resources.
sigma Math and Stats Support Centre: The sigma Maths and Stats Support Service offers free help in-person or online to all Coventry University students and staff across all our campuses with any aspect of maths or statistics associated with your studies or research.
Spirituality and Faith: Offering faith, belief, and pastoral care and support all all university student communities.
BHA for Equality - Sexual Health: BHA Coventry and Warwickshire is working to reduce inequalities in accessing sexual health care, especially for people from Black and minoritised ethnic groups, and from the LGBTQ+ community. We provide free STI testing, condoms, sexual health info and support, and strive to reduce stigma and misinformation around HIV and sexual health. We are also working in partnership with the LGBT Foundation to provide free condoms and lube delivery to any addresses within Coventry and Warwickshire.
Panahghar: Panahghar provides free specialist BME multi-lingual support, advice, advocacy and access to safe refuge for victims and their families of domestic abuse, sexual abuse or gendered abuse in Coventry, Leicester and Leicestershire.
Coventry, Warwickshire, and Solihull Talking Therapies: We offer free and confidential support for people experiencing low mood, anxiety and depression. You can access the service through the online self-referral form or by calling 02476 671 090 (Monday–Friday, 9am–4:30pm).
Sustainability Team: Coventry University Sustainability Team promotes eco-friendly practices on campus, helping students reduce waste, save energy, and make greener choices every day. We also run projects and events that let students get involved in tackling climate change and protecting the environment.
Tastelife UK: We are a local charity helping people to break free from eating disorders. We provide recovery courses for those affected and for anyone who cares for them, as well as prevention resources and training.
Change Grow Live: CGL is a health and social care charity. We provide free and confidential treatment, support and information about drug and alcohol use. We are here for you, judgement-free, whatever your circumstances.
National Energy Foundation (Better Housing, Better Health): We support households in or facing fuel poverty, including any households that are generally struggling with their energy bills or living in cold properties.
West Midlands Police - Regional Organized Crime Unit: At the Regional Organized Crime Unit, we tackle economic crime. Our roles as part of the 3P team are to provide education to the public, businesses, and organizations on how they can best protect themselves from being victims or being involved in criminal networks.
Your Students' Union Advice Service: Your very own free, confidential service to give you individual advice on anything you may need, including (but not limited to) academic, housing, financial, VISA-related, and other advice and support. The Human Collective: Based in FarGo Village, we provide wellness classes, workshops, and events.
West Midlands Police: The area's police service, here to keep you safe during your time at University.
Student Wellbeing: As a Coventry University student, you can access support from our services. Our services consist of Mental Health, Disability and Wellbeing, Harassment and Incident support and Spirituality and faith.
Phoenix Partnerships: our official stall for all your Coventry University merchandise needs, including hoodies, t-shirts, notebooks, plushies, and more!
CWW Mind: A peer mentoring service delivered by Coventry, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire Mind, offering one-to-one support with a huge variety of topics including mental health, life skills, confidence building, referrals to other services, universal credit, housing support, social skills, hobbies, community activities, volunteering, employment, and support around ADHD and autism diagnostic pathways.
