About the event

Our society members have exclusive access to a bag design opportunity with beauty and washkit brand: Victoria Green. 

In a previous session, members got their hands on sample products and reviewed them. Now, you'll have the chance to spend some time exploring your own design concept. Even though Victoria Green have a usual target market and style, you've been given free reign to go beyond this providing it's still appealing to a large market.

Design brief:

• Design a bag that fits within or elevates the Victoria Green collection...
• ... for (who) → your choice
• ... that belongs (where) → your choice
• ... is used (when) → your choice
• ...and (how) → your choice
• ...and has a focus on organisation.

Design specification:

• Concept must aid organisation.
• Concept should be suitable for manufacturing.
• Concept should take inspiration from existing Victoria Green products.
• Concept should be influenced by current/predicted trends.

Submision guidelines:

• Participants must be members of Coventry University Design Society.
• Participants must agree to the Terms & Conditions (sent in email to registered society members).
• Participants should submit a one (min.) to five (max.) A3 page design proposal in .pdf form to: designsociety.su@coventry.ac.uk by 2nd December 2025 for initial feedback.

Your submission should cover a little bit of each of the following:

• Market research
• Target audience
• Application
• Schematic
• Fabric/pattern proposal
