Layna Forbes - Disabled Community Engagement Lead:

Hey everyone! Here's what’s been happening this month:

  • Neurodiversity Celebration Week 🎊 We wrapped up Neurodiversity Celebration Week with an amazing Neurodivergent Student Social Event! The event was a sensory-friendly, relaxed space where students could connect, unwind, and celebrate neurodiversity in a comfortable and inclusive environment. It was so great to see everyone enjoying a variety of activities and meeting like-minded people. Thank you all for making it such a positive experience! 💜
  • Neuro-Inclusive Campus Campaign 💪 On the campaign front, neurodiversity training is officially underway! We’re working hard to make this training accessible and impactful, and we hope to launch it soon. This training will aim to improve understanding, awareness, and inclusivity for neurodivergent students across campus. Keep an eye out for more updates, and as always, feel free to reach out if you have any ideas or feedback to share!

Let's keep working towards a more inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
