Ready for the start of 2026 we have three brand new opportunities on our Volunteering Portal we want to spotlight, but if these aren't for you there are many other opportunities and roles available.

Social Supermarket at St Francis: Tackle Food Poverty

Join the Social Supermarket at St Francis, where volunteers help run a pay-as-you-choose store supporting Coventry families facing food insecurity. Your role involves welcoming shoppers, stocking shelves with fresh produce and creating a dignified shopping experience that reduces stigma around support services.

Why volunteer here? Gain retail and customer service skills while addressing local social issues. Sessions run weekly, fitting around lectures, with training provided. Sessions last 2–3 hours, ideal for building community engagement evidence.

Use your voice as a Volunteer Narrator for Education Saves Lives. Record audio versions of health education lessons in your first language, helping share life-saving messages—like maternal care or disease prevention—with disadvantaged communities worldwide who lack literacy or internet access.

Why volunteer here? Perfect for language or media enthusiasts. Record remotely using your phone, with flexible 1–3 hour weekly commitments. Employers value this global impact, plus skills in audio production and cross-cultural communication.

Volunteer Tutor with Action Tutoring: Transform Young Lives

Become a Volunteer Tutor with Action Tutoring, pairing with a local secondary student to boost their grades in English or maths. One hour a week online or in-person, using provided lesson plans to deliver high-impact support raising attainment for disadvantaged pupils.
