Getting involved in sport and physical activity is a great way to meet new people, gain new experiences and stay physically and mentally fit. Take a look at how you can get involved below.

Gym Memberships

Did you know that we have an on-site gym at the Alison Gingell building?

Spread across two floors, our gym offers a fully-equipped fitness suite, studio space, two sports halls, and a physiotherapy suite. We are confident that there is something for you.

We have a range of memberships, including day and monthly passes and access to specific areas – why not give our gym offer a try?

For any questions about the gym, sports centre and membership options, please email cusportscentre.su@coventry. Alternatively, feel free to visit reception at the Alison Gingell building.

Social Sport

New to the 2025/26 academic year is our Social Sport offer. It’s all about fun and fitness in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. Social Sport runs as a weekly league programme where you can get active and make friends.

Represent your college or school and play with your friends over an eight-week period.

Currently, there are social sport leagues for badminton, football and table tennis. Membership is just £5 per semester!

Sports Clubs

We have 28 active sports clubs that you can join. From football to go-karting, there is a sport for you.

Most clubs have multiple teams, supporting students at all levels regardless of their playing abilities. These are represented by membership levels: Belonging, Recreational, Competition, and Performance. Membership prices vary depending on level, so take a look today!

With a Sport Club membership, you’ll also get access to sports halls if your club trains there.

If there’s a sport we don’t currently offer, you may be able to adopt it.

Email sportcoventry.su@coventry.ac.uk for any questions on sports clubs at Coventry University. Or you can contact sport clubs individually via Instagram to find out details such as training dates and locations.

Whether you want to compete, train, or just have fun, we have you covered. Explore the full offer today and find the activity that is right for you.

In the meantime, follow @covunistudents and @sport_coventry on Instagram to see what’s happening.
