Your Students’ Union is here to support you, empower you, and help you make the most of your student experience!
At Your SU, we offer a wide range of opportunities for students to get involved, connect with others, enjoy university life, and develop personally and professionally.
Here's how you can get involved:
- Communities
We have five free-to-join communities you can be part of: Global Majority, International, Women’s, Disabled, and LGBTQIA+. Each community celebrates key dates, brings people together through social events, and campaigns for positive change.
- Societies
We have over 100 societies covering every interest, from academic support and performance to culture, languages, hobbies, gaming, and more. If you can’t find a society that matches your interests, you can apply to start your own.
- Sports Clubs
At Your SU, we offer over 25 sports clubs at both recreational and performance levels. From Archery to Equestrian, and Boxing to Basketball, there’s something for everyone. If you don’t find a club that suits you, take a look at our sports clubs open for adoption.
- Social Sport
If you’re looking to try something new or enjoy sport in a relaxed, social setting, our Social Sport programme could be perfect for you. It offers weekly leagues where you can represent your college or school an Mixed Five-a-Side Football or Mixed Badminton.
- Volunteering
You can make a positive impact both in the local community and at the University by taking on a volunteering role.
- Rep System
Becoming a Rep is a great opportunity to represent your fellow students, build employability skills, and make a real difference to the student experience. There are both paid and voluntary roles available.
- Trips and Tours
If you want to explore new places across the UK and meet like-minded people, you can join one of our trips in partnership with Unilife, our official trip provider.
