Your Students' Union has been made aware by multiple students that a person pretending to be part of the university's careers and experience team has been speaking with students in and around the Hub, making false promises about part-time job opportunities.
This person is offering part-time jobs and then asking students to pay around £50 in exchange for a uniform and a training induction programme for these fake jobs.
Students are reporting that they are not able to get in contact with this person and are unable to retrieve the money they paid.
This is a scam and is not a real opportunity of part-time work.
If you see this person on campus or they attempt to sell you a part-time job, please report them to Protection Services by calling 02477 57363. In an emergency, you can call protection on 02477 655555. Also, remember you can download Safezone to stay safe in and around campus.
