UPDATE: students have until 5pm on Friday 29 August 2025 to secure temporary accommodation from 31 August to 6 September.
Your Education Officer, Abdullah Sayyed, has secured short-term housing for students who are in need of a place to stay while landlords prepare properties for new tenants.
Coventry University students facing temporary housing issues, due to the end of tenancy agreements, are being given the opportunity to rent at nearby accommodation during that period – thanks to an agreement with the University.
Key details for those impacted:
- Where: The Cycle Works, CV1 5QD
- When: 31 August – 6 September (one week)
- Who: All students facing short-term housing relocation
- Cost: £150
- How to book: Online HERE by 5pm on Friday 29 August.

The short-term gap in access to accommodation is a result of essential repairs and checks that need to take place ahead of new students arriving.
Secured by Education Officer Abdullah Sayyed, this option should help students reduce stress and concerns during this period of time.
Abdullah said: “This accommodation gap has been a source of real stress for students, so securing this option means they can focus on preparing for the new academic year instead of worrying about accommodation.”
“I think that it's our duty to help students in such a hard time. I myself was facing this issue this year, which is when I got the idea to arrange the interim accommodation.
“Especially when we come to a new/different city/country it's very hard to get in such a situation.”
If you’re affected, book your place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
