Hello All!

I wanted to take the time to write out a round up of events so far for Rock Society. It has been a fantastic couple of months working with the fantastic comittee and building an incredible community of music enthusiasts. We've enjoyed a lot of the local talent at the Arches Venue, highlights including Absolution, Apocaholics, Wave of Sheep and Incursion. We've also enjoyed tribute bands play our favourties from the likes of Slayer, The Jam, Megadeth and Iron Maiden. The fantastic turnout for Panic at the Emo Club NIght DJ set has been a definite highlight - it was huge fun bringing the mosh to Arches!

Our Jam sessions have been great fun so far, jamming to the likes of Audioslave, Guns N' Roses, The Darkness and Coheed and Cambria, thanks to all that have lugged their gear over to play some fantastic music!

I'd like to thank Chess Society and Archery Society for coming out and joining us on our games nights. We've had some great laughs and some competetive games and we can't wait to involve as many other societies as possible.

Some other highlights include the CODE Welcome Party, our Halloween pub crawl and our first social at Quids Inn where many of our community met for the first time and bonded over a few drinks!
