Union Street Kitchen is here!

CU Londonfood and drinksaving moneysustainabilityWellbeing

Union Streat Kitchen landed at CU London’s Dagenham campus this week! It’s our tasty collaboration with the National Union of Students (NUS) to bring the sustainability and community focused café to you.

NUS have talked to numerous students across the country who want fast, filling, healthier and affordable options to eat regularly on campus. They accepted the challenge and worked exclusively with Students’ Unions like us to create an affordable, inclusive catering provision that puts the planet before profit.

Union Streat Kitchen will offer hot, fresh, filling hot pots and soups, as well as sandwiches, wraps, salads, pastries and a range of cakes and snacks at low prices.

Curated by students, for students, the outlet will serve only high-quality food prepared with British Ingredients that are Red Tractor Certified Standard as a minimum, at a range of price points to suit a variety of student pockets.

Whether you’re looking for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, halal or dairy free options, Union Streat Kitchen has something for everyone. If you’re after an expertly crafted coffee, we’ll serve the ethically sourced premium Cafeology range too.

We want to ensure that all CU Group students have access to great food at affordable prices. We’re not only proud to bring this provision to our members, but any profit made from the outlet will be invested back into the student community and student-led initiatives. Employability is a key strategic aim for CUSU too, so the launch of Union Streat Kitchen will help us to provide training and meaningful earning opportunities wherever possible.

You can find out more about Union Streat Kitchen at www.cusu.org/usk. We’d love to hear your feedback and are always happy to answer questions. Get in touch at catering.su@coventry.ac.uk
