We want to know from our students what ideas you have for change. Whether it’s something relating to the SU or the university, you can submit an idea to us, which will be considered by the wider student body and, if approved, by the Officer team. For an idea to be considered it needs to fall under one of the following criteria:

  • To improve the delivery of one the SU’s services, this could be more face-to-face appointments for a particular service, or a new feedback mechanism you’d like us to explore.
  • Something you would like our Officers to collaborate on with the university to improve the student experience. Examples of ideas in this area could be quiet spaces in The Hub or more water filling stations across campus.
  • Topics you would like the SU to make a stand on, where examples could be something happening in world news that you think the SU should have a public position on.

How Can I Get Involved?

If you have an idea for change that you would like your Officers to consider, submit it below and we'll be in touch with the next steps. Students will also be able to ‘’like’’ any of the existing ideas below that you think the SU Officers should consider.

Third year, final year - Nursing students celebrated + motivation

    Current
Adult/children nurses progressing to third year celebration What is your activity? General SU Activity What's the purpose of your event? Motivate and celebrate for reaching their final year, a moment to prepare for what's ahead, creating space to reflect and reconnect with peers and a chance to give back to communities in need through the Human Appeal charity organisation supporting global healthcare/ humanitarian project. Event Title Third year, Final Gear: A nursing celebration & send-off What Type of event is this? Social gathering, award celebration, guest speakers “Third Year, Final Gear” is more than a celebration—it's an opportunity to uplift future NHS professionals, reconnect as a nursing cohort, and engage in charitable giving to a global healthcare cause through Human Appeal. I believe this aligns well with the values of Coventry University Students’ Union in terms of student wellbeing, inclusion, community engagement, and social impact.
