Reason one: Your GP is just for you.
The Coventry University Medical Centre is here to help students. Registering with them will give you access to your very own student-dedicated GP plus a host of other medical services who are used to supporting students specifically. With a great service and minimal waiting times, the medical centre is even located right on campus, meaning it couldn’t be easier to access during a busy day of lectures. You’ll find it inside the Hub, on the second floor via the Jordan Well entrance, directly opposite the Richard Crossman building.
Reason two: Your GP service is free!
University medical services, including having a registered GP, are completely free at point of use for all students. International students will just need to make sure that they’ve paid the International Healthcare Surcharge as part of their visa application. Registering with the Uni medical centre = access to free healthcare whenever you need it. What have you got to lose?
Reason three: Your future self will thank you.
You may be wondering: "why should I register with the Uni medical centre when I’m not even sick yet?”. The answer is simple. At Uni, your health is your priority; it affects everything you do. So when you’re feeling unwell, you will want to get help to feel better as soon as possible. The best way to do this is to register with your Uni medical centre before you get sick. You will then have instant access to appointments with people who can help you as soon as you need it. Registration is simple, with one quick registration form. But lets face it, who wants to be filling out forms when they’re not feeling well? So what are you waiting for? Be prepared and register today to be able to take full advantage of this amazing service.

London Students
If you’re a student studying on one of our London campuses (Dagenham and Greenwich), you have a couple of different options for GP surgeries that you can register with. The recommended GP to register with for London students (both campuses) is Holborn Medical Centre – if you want to register with them, first check whether you’re eligible, then register on their website. It’s quick and easy, so don’t delay! If you would prefer, you can use this NHS tool to find your nearest GP practice by entering your postcode.
Scarborough Students
Scarborough students living at an address that start with Y011, Y012, or Y013 are recommended to register with the Castle Health Centre, unless you are already registered with a GP in Scarborough, in which case there’s no need to change! If you live outside these areas, you can use this NHS tool to find and register with your nearest GP practice instead.
