International Student Funding

Funding your studies in the UK can be expensive. You can find our webpage on tuition fees to find what to expect before making the decision to do a degree at Coventry University.

However, there are a huge number of scholarships, bursaries and discounts available both from Coventry University Group and from external charitable organisations and trusts to support you with pursuing University education in the UK.

Coventry University Group Discounts

This is offered by both Coventry University and Coventry University London to support with the cost of tuition fees and living costs for any student studying on a foundation, international year, or pre-masters course. This is if you do not meet the requirements for direct entry to your preferred Coventry University undergraduate or postgraduate course.

If you hold a conditional offer for the International Pathways Programme, you will be automatically considered for this award, and it will be given to you following completion of the enrolment process. For any student who enrols on a course at one of the CU Group campuses (CU Coventry, CU London (Dagenham and Greenwich) and CU Scarborough), you could be eligible for a scholarship worth £15,000. This will result in a £5000 reduction in tuition fees for each year of a three-year undergraduate course.

You will automatically be considered for the award if you hold a conditional course for an undergraduate course, are self-funded, and are an on-campus learner. Find further information and browse CU Group degree courses here.

A reduction in tuition fees which will bring your fees in line with UK student fees for your course. Available to all full-time students wishing to study at Coventry University or Coventry University London for all years up to and including the 2026/27 academic year. This is applicable for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses with September, January and May starts.

From 1st August 2022, any student from Ukraine granted leave under the Ukraine Family Scheme, the Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme, or the Ukraine Extension Scheme is entitled to a reduction in fees to bring them in line with UK fee rates. This is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses across Coventry University Group.

It will be automatically applied to any eligible students following completion of a fee assessment. Find award details and eligibility here.

Coventry University offer a postgraduate taught alumni discount worth 20% of your total tuition fee. This means that if you have been awarded an undergraduate degree by Coventry University Group, and are applying for a full-time or part-time postgraduate course, you could get 20% of your tuition fees. Please note that you must be a self-funded student (not sponsored).

If you are eligible, this discount will be automatically applied following enrolment.

This is a scholarship worth £2000 and available to all students applying for a full-time or part-time postgraduate degree at Coventry University who achieved a First Class undergraduate honours degree from a UK institution.

This will be a one-off payment in your first year of study only. For part-time students, the scholarship will be paid on a pro-rata basis. Please note that you must be a self-funded student (not sponsored).

Government Scholarships

Scholarship to cover the costs of a one-year taught masters in the UK for students from eligible countries. You must hold an undergraduate degree, have 2 years of relevant work experience, and meet the English Language Requirements.

If you’re from a developing Commonwealth country, you can apply for funding for a masters, PhD, or a split-PhD.

If you are from the USA, graduated from a 4-year undergraduate course in the USA in the last 3 years, got a GPA of 3.7 or more in your degree, and you haven’t studied for a UK degree before, you may be eligible for a Marshall Scholarship.
