New Campaign process and Information
From starting your campaign, to delivering and evaluating, we’re here to support you each step of the way.
Every campaign lead must complete our online campaign training module so you have a clear understanding of the role of a campaign lead and how to make your campaign successful.
The Campaign Handbook is a resource you can use to help you map out the campaign journey and milestones.
When you’re ready to begin your campaign submit it to the community executive committee for approval.

Being a Campaign Lead
So what does a campaign lead do?
You’ll be responsible for the overall planning and delivery for your campaign.
You’ll need to familiarise yourself with the Campaign Training Hub, make sure you meet with your SU staff contacts and submit your forms and applications.
You should make sure you keep your campaign workbook up to date so that you can refer to this during meetings with staff.
If you would like to build a student campaign team you can do so, keep your staff contacts in the loop so that we can support you with this.
You will have a webpage on the SU website that you are responsible for maintaining, adding news articles and events.
SU Staff support
You will have SU staff members you can approach regarding your campaign directly.
You will be assigned a member of the Activities team who will be able to support on logistics, training, resources and help you with campaign administration.
The Campaign Mentor role is new to the SU, We’ve centralised some of our processes to make the process simpler for you. This means that the individual handling your room bookings may not be the same person who you consult with for topic knowledge.
Once you submit your campaign you will be assigned a campaign mentor and sabbatical officer who are best placed to support you in your campaign and will likely have the best subject knowledge for your campaign. You are the campaign lead and will be responsible for arranging time to meet with your campaign team and take on board their guidance and advice relating to your campaign.
You will always have a staff member within the Activities team you can approach for general campaign guidance and logistics.
