Welcome to Coventry Windband Society!
We’re all about putting together a great band and having as much fun as possible while we’re doing it! If you play either a woodwind or brass instrument, looking to make a name for yourself at university, and be a part of a band this is the society for you! If you’re looking forward to performing, we hold our own concerts each semester and join in with the Students Union events and perform for them too. If you’re also interested in having a laugh, join us for socials and nights out, in addition to rehearsals.
Windband meets on a Tuesday night between 6:30pm and 8:30pm, and our musical director will take the band through a selection of pieces, with a short break in the middle, ensuring we have fun, yet aim high! We are an inclusive society and anyone is welcome. There are no auditions, as long as you own an instrument and know a few notes, we will be happy to have you along!
We also host many other events, including pub socials, ice skating and collaborations with other societies such as Acoustic Music Society and Craft Beer Society.
