The CSSA (Chinese Students and Scholars Association) aims to connect and unite Chinese Students within the campus, helping them to adapt to a new learning environment abroad. Activities ranging from food festivals, movie rights, city tours, Mandarin classes and self-run Chinese language local art tours will be organised to train student’s communication, problem-solving and organisational skills which are all essential for the future work place.
Our aims are as follows:
- To facilitate cultural exchange within the campus environment by promoting Chinese cultural values and language to students and teaching staff
- To establish study groups to provide support services to Chinese students
- To consolidate the Chinese student community both intra- and inter-school through networking events
- To organise charitable activities as a way to facilitate students understanding of the current affairs and the socials issues in the UK
- To create a platform for information exchange on job opportunities and work experience in the UK
- To equip the students with the practical skills and experiences necessary for the future workplace by providing them opportunities to run events organised by the society.
