Disability History Month runs between 16 November and 16 December every year. It is an annual movement aimed at builiding awareness of the history, culture, and contributions of disabled individuals; breaking down stereotypes adn msconceptions; promoting inclusivity; and empowering the disabled community.

At our pop-up stall you'll be able to find out more about Disability History Month, read about the experiences of some disabled students in the UK, learn about the support available to disabled students at CU Scarborough, and more. We'll also be offering free sunflower lanyards to students with a hidden disability who feel they would benefit from this resource.

If you identify as disabled, you might choose to give us some feedback about your experience as a disabled student at CU Scarborough. You can also learn more about the Your Students' Union Disabled Students Community, and choose to sign up to it if you wish. You can find out more about the Disabled Students' Community here.
