FAQs
What is a Law Ball?
A small stress ball with the name and logo of a firm on it. No, in all seriousness, it is a formal occasion with music, food, social networking and dancing.
This is just Prom 2.0...
No way you think we would just host an adult Prom! You have the chance to network amongst a lot of professionals including all industries, I'd like to see prom pull that off...
What will be at this Law Ball?
Have you seriously not seen the poster? Ok then, there will be: a sit down 3 course Indo-Asian meal, a Magic Mirror Photo Booth and a DJ and Dhol players for your entertainment, amongst other attractions. You will just have to come and see for yourself!
Do I have to be in Law to attend the Law Ball?
No, we would love to welcome everyone. The more the merrier!
When can I buy tickets?
It's not that hard! Just search 'Coventry University Law Society' on YourSU, scroll down to Upcoming Events, click on Royal Law Ball 2025 and buy away!
How much do tickets cost?
So you're telling me that you read through all of this and didn't see the ticket prices above? Tut tut. There are three ticket prices: £40 for Law Society Members, £50 for Coventry University Students, £60 for friends, family and professionals including Coventry University Staff, Barristers, Solicitors, Paralegal and all legal and non-legal professionals and we have a Special Offer: Table of 10 for £500.
Can I bring a guest?
Absolutely! Non-member ticket prices can be found above.
Will I need to show my ticket when I arrive?
You will be sent a ticket to show at the door, so no trying to bribe the bouncer!
What time should I arrive?
The Ball will be running from 6:30pm all the way until midnight, so it's your choice! (We would advise getting there as early as possible, so you can enjoy yourself for as long as you want, of course!)
How do I get there?
However you would like: by car, bus, train, scooter, plane, camel. The Ball will be held at Mercia Venue, 123 Lockhurst Ln, Coventry CV6 5PD so really it depends where you can park your dragon!
Is the venue accessible?
Absolutely, if you can get past the moat of starving sharks, the lasers and the riddles. Joking aside, the venue is all one floor, so there'll be no risk of having too good a time ;)
What about my dietary requirements?
Unlucky! No, don't worry, we have a wide menu of food available. Why else would we ask about your dietary requirements? Like we want to know all that...
What should I wear?
It is a formal occasion, so suit up! Dress your best and look presentable. Let's keep it classy, shall we?
