Course Reps are current students who represent all the students on their course. They work with Your Students’ Union and the University to improve the student experience by making sure your voice is heard.
Any student can volunteer to be a Course Rep, and a course can have more than one Rep. All you need to do is complete a short sign-up form and complete some online training.
As a Rep you will:
Best of all, becoming a Rep means you’ll join a network of committed CU Scarborough students who are empowered to make a difference on campus!
Reps are expected to commit a minimum of 2 hours per teaching block to the role. This time is split between speaking to your classmates to gather feedback and sharing their feedback at Student Voice Meetings, which take place once per block.
Student Voice Meetings take place once a block. They are attended by Course Reps, Course Leaders, and Your Students’ Union. Here Course Reps raise the feedback shared with them by their classmates, working with staff to find solutions to any issues and encourage more of what’s working for students. They are supportive, collaborative spaces where staff and students work better to create the best student experience possible. At the end of each meeting a Feedback Log is created complete with actions and next steps, so the meeting can lead to development and change on campus.
