These emails are NOT from Coventry University.

How to identify a scam email:

No personalisation – Genuine university emails will include your name and student ID.

Check who has sent it – Coventry University Group will only contact you from an email address which ends in @coventry.ac.uk, please treat any other emails with caution.

Bank account details for payment – payments for tuition fees should only go through Convera, the University's trusted and secure payment platform:

American spelling – Look out for "Z" instead of "S" (e.g., "payment authorized" instead of "payment authorised").

What to do if you have paid:

Contact your bank immediately - report the scam and see if the payment can be reversed.
Seek support – contact Your Students' Union Advice Service for help in reporting the scam and getting financial hardship support if needed by completing our online enquiry form.

Stay vigilant and always verify emails before making any payments. If in doubt, contact the university's finance team directly and also check our their information on how to pay your tuition fees.

You can find information about the University’s Student Wellbeing Services here. You may find it useful to speak with them about any impact this is having on your mental health or emotional wellbeing.
