Netball at Coventry University was such a huge part of my experience. I was never the best player at netball but I absolutely loved the team nature and comradeship of the girls. It taught me so many valuable lessons and really ignited a passion for sport within me.

I was fortunate enough to go on to get a job within the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth games as Event Services Training Operations Manager. I wrote and coordinated the training for 7000 front of house volunteers, who were directly involved in the Games. It was one of the most incredible working experiences I’d ever had and I do think the passion I got at Coventry, both as a student and member of staff at the SU, contributed heavily to this.

I look back on my time at Coventry with such fond memories and would encourage anyone going to university to get involved with some kind of sport or society, it really will change your whole experience for the better.
