Coventry University Students’ Union is a charity dedicated to improving the experience of students at the Coventry University Group. 

As the Membership Services Manager (Scarborough), you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations at our Scarborough Campus and be responsible for the delivery of membership services (excluding Advice). Your role will work with Senior Academic Stakeholders to ensure the SU delivery meets the needs of students at these sites. You’ll gain excellent knowledge of the demographics of students to make informed decisions on delivery and providing insight on what these students want from the SU. Your role will be expected to work with various SU departments creating strong working relationships. 

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting volunteers, managing casual staff and will understand the challenges of engaging students in extra-curricular activities. You will need to be good at working off your own initiative looking for opportunities to further develop our delivery at Scarborough. Experience of delivering student voice activities, particularly representation mechanisms, will be valuable. You’ll have some previous experience delivering events and will have analysed data to be able to present informative reports on how students perceive their experience to a range of high-level stakeholders.

Key duties

  • To enhance the student experience through supporting students and the Union’s elected representatives to deliver positive change. 

  • To contribute and provide reports on local campus activities to Union committees where required. 

  • To oversee the delivery and development of the Student Voice system at Scarborough. 

  • To collect and analyse student voice data, producing high quality reports to assess effectiveness and make recommendations for service delivery improvement. 

  • To inspire and facilitate the delivery of ‘student led’ activities. 

  • To deliver a range of co- and extra-curricular services and engagement activities 

Salary Details 

The salary is £29,605 - £33,966 per annum. It is usual to start at the bottom of the grade and salary will increase incrementally on an annual basis, however, for a candidate with highly relevant previous experience an offer may be made within the grade range. 

Working hours and Location 

This post is a permanent role and is available as a full-time position (37.5 hours per week).  As an organisation, we have an agile working programme which supports some working from home.  3-4 days in the office (Scarborough) and 1-2 working from home day can be offered in this role.
