Your SU Placements

Why volunteer on a SU Placement?

Recruiters and employers place great value on ‘real-world-experience’ and those who can demonstrate they can effectively apply skills they have developed, and have gained practical experience, beyond achievements ‘on paper’. Securing work-experience can be challenging, as organisations have limited capacity to induct host, and support voluntary workers, therefore securing a relevant opportunity, will make you stand out from your peers – and give you a genuine taste of what it is like to work in your industry. Placements are an excellent opportunity to demonstrate skills you already have / are highly developed – but also to build entirely new skills, so wherever your confidence is, undertaking a Placement can be for you.
