Are you passionate about sport but haven't yet explored all the options available to you? Joining the Coventry University Jets will allow you to explore a sport that you may not usually come across. American Football is a fast-paced, competitive contact sport. We welcome everyone of any ability; you do not need any knowledge or experience of the game to join us. Whether you want to work towards becoming better, faster or stronger you will always have the team there to support and guide you to reach your full potential both on and off the field. As a team we train three times a week doing Contact training as well as doing Film study to prepare us as a team mentally and physically for our games. We play in Divison 1 Midlands and will be playing eight regular season games as well as playoff games. We train on Tuesdays at Sidney Stringer Academy from 19:45 to 22:00, On Thursdays we train in the George Elliot building from 19:15 to 20:45 studying film before heading out to Sidney Stringer Academy to train on the field from 21:00 to 22:00. On non gameweeks we also train on Sundays at Charterhouse fields from 13:00 to 15:00. We also conduct social events every Wednesday and Sunday night and also host the Coventry Univeristy Superbowl Party with members of our society getting early access to tickets for the event! As a team we focus on developing pur players into the best versions of themselves, both on and off the field. We provide players with advice on how to improve themselves off the field whilst working with them to improve on it. Our coaching staff, made up of notable alumni, work tirelessly to better us as players and as people. Providing guidance to help us develop both as a team and individually.

Athletic development is something we are very passionate about and we are always looking for ways to develop and improve our players. We work to better our players in order to allow them to enter the NFL International Player Pathway Program and potentially play professionally in Europe or America. We currently have 4 Ex Coventry University Jets players within the NFL International Player Pathway Program which takes the best players from around the world and gives them a chance to play in the NFL. We also have several alumni playing professionally in Europe and within the UK, with two alumni currently playing for the UK Premiership National champions and one who is playing for the National runners up. One of our Alumni was drafted into the CFL this past year and is currently playing for the CFL's reigning champions. We hold an awards and CU Jets Hall Of Fame ceremony every year, with Alumni returning to the team to celebrate the teams achievements and standout performers.
