Jiu-Jitsu is a Japanese Martial Art, focusing upon the use of locks and throws for the purpose of self-defence. As part of the national-level Jiu-Jitsu Foundation (TJJF), Coventry Jitsu club aims to provide students with an enjoyable, comprehensive and effective self-defence system combined with an enjoyable means of personal and physical development. Regular training can help to improve strength, fitness, flexibility, co-ordination and posture, as well as self-esteem and self-confidence.
In addition to regular training, both Coventry Jitsu and The Jiu-Jitsu Foundation pride themselves on a fun, friendly and active social life outside of the dojo, delivered via weekly social nights following training sessions and frequent training sessions, competitions and parties organised in co-operation with other TJJF clubs throughout the Midlands region and across the country.
