Volleyball

Coventry University Men's Volleyball Club is a high-performing team competing in the Midlands 1A league. After years of dominating, we aim to continue this form into the BUCS 2021-2022 season! We welcome any and all to join us whether your goal is to play competitively or to just be a recreational member.

The men's volleyball club holds both first-team and recreational practice sessions per week. The practices involve a variety of interchanging volleyball drills, progressing into a practice match.  Our first team's practices will be more challenging and strenuous to prepare our players for tough games in the BUCS league. However, the main focus of our recreational practices is to develop your skills while having FUN!

Becoming a part of Men's Volleyball Club will help you settle into University, meet new people and develop your volleyball skills. Our club offers training from beginners to advanced-level players. Being a part of our society gives you an opportunity to compete in the 'BUCS' league. Join our team to enjoy your favourite sport, make friends and have a good time! 
Don't forget about our dynamic social events, which will involve various activities that can be tailored to the interests of our member base, which we will promote on our Instagram page where you can suggest ideas and vote on polls!

Our club has been dominant in the BUCS league & Trophy in recent years. In 2018 we won BUCS Midlands 2A Division without a single loss, being victorious in 10/10 games, which allowed for automatic promotion into Midlands 1A Division. The same year we were awarded the Best Team of the year on Varsity and we won 2nd place in Men's Trophy. During season 2019/2020, our team was more professional than ever, winning the Student Cup Finals and becoming Student Cup Champions of the UK. This made us the best university out of 160, resulting in our team being invited to compete in the 21st PCU Games in Belgium later that year. We managed to maintain our place on top of the league and won the Varsity derby. To finish the season we managed to get to the Quarter-finals in the Men's Trophy. We have an amazing community of people who want to always improve and get better.  Above and beyond, that is what we do.
