So do we! You can use your student ID card to get a discount in many shops – check if they accept it next time you shop. Some schemes also help you save when shopping online:

A Totum card gives you discounts across over 350 retailers and brands. Totum also do online giveaways and competitions, for the most up to date freebies and giveaways visit totum webpage.

Unidays, like Totum, offers student discounts and it can be accessed via an app rather than a plastic card. Simply download, register and start saving! You need to be over 16 and a student to use it. Available on Google Play and the App Store.

Student Beans has an app and a website where you can access discounts and offers across clothing, health and beauty, tech & mobile, entertainment, travel and more. You can register here.

International student? For just £12, you can get an International Student Identity Card on your phone (£15 for a plastic card), which gives you tens of thousands of discounts across 130 countries. Make sure you get it only if you can afford it! For more information go here.

Are you a Coventry resident? Did you know you may qualify for a GoCV card, which gives you discounted access to museums, activities and resources in the city. Visit their website to find out more about applying for a card.

Want to save on travel?

National Express offer 15% off if you have Student Beans, a Totum card or the Unidays app.

If you are 16-25 years old, you can get a third off train travel with the 16-25 railcard. It costs £30 a year (or £70 for three years), so if you commute by train, you can make that back quite quickly.

Are you one of our London students? If so, consider a Student Oyster card. If you’re 18+ and are a student living in a London borough, you can get discount on travel. The Oystercard will also save you 30% on adult travel cards and bus and tram pass season tickets. For more information, go to here.

Discounts on local leisure activities...

There are loads of activities to take part in throughtout the holidays in Coventry this winter; some free of charge and some offer a student discount rate. Visit Coventry have collated their own highlights of what's on offer on their website! There are a number of Christmas-themed markets and events across the city; one very close to Coventry campus is FarGo Village. They play host to a number of free to attend events across the year. If you would like to visit the cinema or theatre whilst making savings on the ticket price, take advantage of Warwick Arts Centre’s student discount offers – you can find out more on their website. Similarly, the Albany Theatre, which can be found a short walk from the city centre, have student discount prices on their shows. Find out what’s on now!

For all the sports lovers here at Coventry, a number of our local clubs offer student discount on tickets. Coventry City offer a £5 discount to students on their matchday tickets, and also have discounts available on season tickets – visit their website to find out more.
